This is the first in what was probably intended to be just a trilogy until Rafe demanded his own episode in "Rafe's Island." :) Back to "Taking a Chance," Liz is the beautiful designer of these fairy tale wedding gowns, but figures she won't garner a fairy tale ending of her own. But then in steps Chance, who initially intends to rain on the parade of his younger bro's wedding plans. Once he gets a gander at Liz, Chance begins to get a clue about love. Gina Wilkins pens poetry, but not the high-brow stuff that makes the average reader think, "Iambic what-ameter?" This is romance at its best and really whets your appetite for the next two books. As the other reviewer lists the next two books for this trilogy, that's a good hint you need to read those as well.
He Liked his Life Just Fine, Then He Met Her

When Chance Cassidy gets a letter from his younger brother Phillip saying that he is going to marry Sara Archer, daughter of software developer Neal Archer, he is both stunned and hurt. Phillip is ten years younger than Chance and Chance had helped raise him, had given up getting a college education in order to build up a successful construction company, so that he could pay the bills and send Phillip to school. The plan had been for Phillip to come home after he got his degree and help run the company, but instead the boy wanted to go to work for Sara's father.Chance packs a bag and drives from his home in Birmingham, Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia to set things right. His brother was just too young to throw his life away on an early marriage and Chance intends to see that Phillip gets the message. However when he gets there, Phillip, Sara and her father are on vacation in Florida so Chance has to take his frustration out on Sara's aunt Liz. But it's not long before that frustration turns to romance and it could be permanent, if only Liz would agree with him that the young couple should call off the wedding.Plenty of sparks fly in this romance that got a tear or two out of me. First Liz and Chance are hitting it off, then their not, then they are. We wonder if Chance is going to do the right thing and give his younger brother his blessing. Also we wonder, and hope, that there might be a double wedding, but we won't learn about that till the end of this romance that kept me up most of a Saturday night.
