Take Another Step is a poetry book that is written in three parts, each one looking at different circumstances we may face in life; loss, depression, growth, happiness, empowerment. The book looks at the struggles of life and who we are and moves onto wanting to find out who we can be and how to then become that person. Some of the poems discuss learning through facing difficult situations and growing through them. Other poems are quite positive and encouraging. The three parts have distinctive topics throughout them however, they do overlap because in life we may face many different situations all at once, some may be positive and unfortunately some may not be. The structure of this book tries to stay authentic to that.
