Pleasantly Surprised

I had to read this book for school and most books for school bore me out of my mind. But I liked this book. I liked how there was a mystery, and how they finally treated that Rochelle girl how she should've been treated. But most of all, I liked how it had a different viewpoint. Living in a Suburb, I don't know too much about being homeless. Most writers from those kind of areas hardly ever even get or let alone want to write about the Bronx. But when you write it for children, it's a different experience altogether. It didn't badmouth homeless people, it just helped you understand what it's like to be one, how hard it is, it changed my perspective entirely. But there was a problem. No, not in the book, but in the fact that only 2 out of 15 kids in my class, finished it, or really read it. Read this book, you'll definetely like it.

Even the obnoxious Rochelle has her contribution to make to this lively story.
