Great way to learn

This book is very good. What I like about it is that it is divided into two parts, 'The Alphabet' and 'The Phrase Book'. The 'Alphabet' is about the language of the ears, tail, eyes, head, ect ect. And then 'The Phrase Book' is everything put together' so it is a good way to learn. The pictures make it easy to understand how dogs would react and what it looks like. What is also really great is that in the end there are pictures to test you canine knowledge. The only thing is that Sophie Collins uses very...advanced English. Such as, instead of saying 'without a doubt' it says 'unambivilant' and there are a few other words that I did not understand. I had to look them up in a dictionary. If you want to learn how your dog communicates, get this book.

Entertaining & Informative

This is such a great book! The photos are wonderful, the style of writing is fresh and knowledgeable. Starting with the most basic dog signs, and moving to more intricate behaviors, the author provides information and examples, as well as amusing perspectives of the action in the photos. Perfect for dog owners and lovers, even a cat person (like me) can't put this book down. So intriguing, you actually want to seek out dogs, just to put the info to practical use.
