An early work from a modern master!

This comedy by James Lapine explored the neuroses and idiosyncracies of a "typical" Jewish family, with all the requisite characters: the Jewish mother, the non-Jewish wife and the stressed husband. James Lapine, in addition to writing Table Settings and Twelve Dreams, has collaborated with Stephen Sondheim as both librettist and director on Passion, Into the Woods and Sunday in the Park With George, and with William Finn on March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland, later produced on Broadway as Falsettos.
