From the depths of Courting Miss Hattie and Garters

Gads! She's done it again! Just when I thought you couldn't do better than COURTING MISS HATTIE...Of course, I'm not sure who I was more interested in....the main characters or the secondaries. SWEETWOOD BRIDE tops my favorites along side her other great books. I loved this book so much, I went out and bought 5 other copies to give to my mother...my sister-in-law...my neighbors...well you get the idea! Pamela Morsi writes about real people and real love. And whew! The love scenes made me tingle!

Another great romance from Pamela Morsi

Romance author Pamela Morsi strikes again. She's written another funny, tender love story featuring an unlikely pair--a confirmed bachelor groom (with a shotgun at his back) and a young bride so desperate to find a home for herself and her younger siblings that she traps a stranger in a loveless marriage. Once again, Ms. Morsi's characters come alive on the pages of her latest book. We suffer with them when things go bad. We root for them to overcome hardships, doubts and crises--and celebrate when they do.

ANOTHER TERRIFIC BOOK FROM A GREAT AUTHOR!

A new Morsi book is always a treat, and I enjoyed SWEETWATER BRIDE so much! I got involved in the story from page one and hated setting it down. (Read it in two days, so I didn't set it down much!) If you love warm, wonderful romance, this book is for you.

One of my favorite Pamela Morsi books

SWEETWOOD BRIDE was a wonderful effort! The dialogue that comes out of the mouths of Pamela Morsi's characters rings with such truth that they can't help but become real to the reader. Everyone in the Tennessee community of Sweetwood was a fully fleshed out human being. It reminded me a little of one of my favorite TV shows of all-time--THE WALTONS. (Oh, and did I forget to mention the delicious love scenes?) This book made me feel like I could sit back, relax, and just enjoy the ride because I was in the hands of a master storyteller.

Awesome American romance

His so-called friends and other citizens of Sweetwood force Mosco Collier into marrying Eula Toby after she accused him of leaving her pregnant. The literal shotgun wedding leaves Moss with an acrimonious taste. He knows that he not only did not sleep with the girl, he never committed a crime in his life. Adding to Moss' dilemma is Eulie's five younger siblings who will now move onto the farm he shares with his uncle, a Civil War veteran who lost his legs during the fight. All Moss can think of is that his dream to raise cattle in Texas ended with the lies of a teenager. Eulie feels bad that she tricked Moss into marriage, but she was desperate to keep her family together since her parents died and Moss seemed so lonely. When Eulie learns of Moss' dream, she offers him a plan that would free him to leave. However, before he can leave, Moss feels he has chores to do so his new family will have a comfortable home when he leaves them behind. Though he insists he's not in love, each day Moss seems to find one more task to complete that binds him to stay a little bit longer. SWEETWOOD BRIDE is an entertaining historical romance that demonstrates the impact of children on the most recalcitrant hermit. The story line shows how loving relationships can heal most mental scars. The lead protagonists are a graceful duo even though Eulie's Pollyanna outlook can become a bit irritating. The support cast, especially Eulie's brother and Uncle Jephta, add incredible layers to a wonderful Americana romance.Harriet Klausner
