Sweet Peppers, Sour Grapes & Wild Flowers is an excellent, outstanding, and superbly written book. I enjoyed reading it very much. I can relate to the dynamics that were superbly described in the book. The descriptive analysis described in the book exhibits many of the conditions that exist in many churches today. The writer painted such a vivid picture of the storm that people can become involved in due to the unacceptable conditions created by a pastor. Even in the mist of a storm, the writer was careful by indicating that we should not get caught up in such a storm because it might cost us our natural lives. Many climatic, colorful, church activities, and leaders in the church at Kingston, Virginia were outstandingly portrayed. The creative analysis of the Board of Directors, the Circuit Counsel, and President of the region involved in church affairs, tend to believe the pastor of the church. The description of the survey conducted by the circuit was a good idea, but it was used for the benefit of the pastor. The writer pointed out that the pastor used the Constitution and By-Laws to cover up his lack of performing the duties required of him in Kingston, Virginia. The book is excellent because it is written with such an important skill that the reader was eager to find out what was going on next at the church in Kingston, Virginia. I would like to commend the writer for writing such an intriguing, dynamic, superb, excellent, and outstanding book. It would be good if the leadership of the synod, district, circuit counselors, and pastors could read this book. It would be worth their time and effort. The writer has an excellent talent for writing.

This author is creative, beginning with the title. I love the way she took situations that many church congregations experience and made them come alive! It forced me to think about how I interact with other humans. I admire writers who cantake a situation very dear to many, make it interesting, but also thought provacative. A must for all church goers! Great job! Clinton, Mississippi Reader

This book was very enjoyable. Its examples for a search for accountability were substantive enough to draw true parallels to real life situtions. It could be used in real leadership workshops to mentor leaders on the importance of accountability in their positions. While serious, the book remained light and entertaining. I would highly recommend this book for workshops or reading for pleasure.

It is refreshing to read a book that is easy to read while remaining exciting. This book is acceptable for all age levels-no explicit sex scenes or violence. Just a good bood about life that revolves around a church and their search for pastorial leadership. It also includes words that will allow most to add color to their vocabulary. YOU MUST READ THIS!!! Great to finish over the weekend or at the beach.
