Sweet Child of Mine by Jean Brashear released on Jan 25, 2004 is available now for purchase. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Favorite scene with Suzanne- Her talk with Jim about Bobby. Favorite scene with Michael- Their fight, Suzanne telling him his dead wife would be ashamed of him. His reaction was so powerful. Together- With Bobby before he goes into his operation. What did you like about Suzanne- Her strength. Her love for Bobby. The girl next door. All the kids at the ranch loved her. What didn't you like about Suzanne- She was a little too weak and sensitive for such a tough cookie. She wanted things her way, not willing to allow Michael to grieve. What did you like about Michael- Helping Suzanne and her little boy. Putting the town first. What didn't you like about Michael- Although he had every right to grieve, he wouldn't stop letting Suzanne know that. He kept telling her there was no room for her. If I had to cast Michael, I'd cast Julian McMahon. If I had to cast Suzanne, I'd cast Holly Marie Combs.

SWEET CHILD OF MINEMayor Michael Longstreet has his hands full trying to keep the citizens of Prosperino from panicking. The water at the Hopechest ranch has been contaminated and children are getting sick. If the contamination reaches the towns water supply there could be a major crisis. As if that were not enough for Michael to worry about, his family is demanding that he find himself a bride. Michael loves his mom and his deathly ill father, but he never planned to get married again. Michael was married once and his wife and unborn baby died and he blames himself for their death. No, Michael was never getting married again. At least that was what he thought until he heard Suzanne Jorgenson's own personal crisis.Suzanne was a counselor at Hopechest ranch and is passionate about her work. Often she finds herself butting heads with the Mayor. Suzanne often leads with her heart and lets her temper get the best of her. But now Suzanne needs help and the last person she expects to help her is the Mayor himself. Suzanne gave up her son for adoption ten years ago, but now has the chance to get him back. The only thing that Suzanne has to do to get her son is to get married. Michael needs a wife to make his dying father happy and Suzanne needs a husband to get her son. Michael and Suzanne decide to get married for the sake of the people they love. Even before they tie the knot it is a toss up whether it will be a marriage made in heaven or hell. These two are constantly at each others throat. The sexual tension between them is obvious to everyone including them. It is just a matter of time until they give in to the feelings they have for one another. If you are not interested in reading all of the book in the Colton series that is fine this one stands on its own. I would, however, recommend that you read Protecting Peggy since it is directly related to the mystery surrounding the contaminated water.
