Tragedy had sent music superstar Amanda Callaway to the Wyoming mountains to heal. What she found was another battle to fight... Quinn Sutton. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I am about halfway through reading Palmer's books. This is my favorite so far. So refreshing to see a man as inexperienced as the woman. Totally fell in love with these characters.

Sutton's Way is a delightful story about Amanda Callaway, the lead singer of a country rock band, Desperado, and Quinn Sutton, a rancher with a big chip on his shoulder, set in Wyoming. Amanda is alot stronger and feistier than some of Diana Palmers' other characters and Quinn isn't as 'pretty' in his looks as some of her other heroes, but he can be just as difficult and exasperating as them! You'll love these two, I know I do! This is like most Diana Palmer books, with the young, innocent heroine and the older, roughened hero, except in one major way.....the hero is a virgin too! Quite remarkable at the age of 34 and being married before, with a son. Although Quinn seems innocent in the ways of intimacy that are slightly unbelievable, he comes off as being strong and not wimpy in the least. Though you would think he'd know more about it with television and everything even if this book was written in 1989, I still can't find too much fault with that minor detail, it was written in such a way that you can believe he is a virgin. The dialogue is witty and I laughed out loud more than a few times. Amanda and Quinns' encounters with each other are both steamy and tender, you can just feel the tension crackling between them and the love they feel for each other. The story is touching, moving, realistic, and it'll have you reading it over and over again. Don't miss it!
REFRESHING - INVIGORATING - TRUE FANTASY!

It truly tugs at the heart! To find a man so emotionally scarred that he has become a woman-hater and yet comes to a knowledge of true love. sigh!Quinn Sutton's first contact with Amanda as she asks for directions to Blalock Durning's cabin is of a man with the coldest black eyes and the hardest face she had ever seen. His day's growth of stubble didn't begin to cover up the homeliness of his lean face.Amanda wasn't disturbed as the guys of her rock group, DESPORADO, were even uglier than Quinn. Her famous drummer is Hank Shoeman [with his story in Abduction & Seduction - Redbird]then there is Deke, Jack and Johnson - Hank is the only married man of the group and in process of getting a divorce.Amanda is settling in when Quinn's twelve year old son, Elliot comes late at night to ask for her help. She gives in to Elliot's entreaties to help his father. She sees Quinn through a debiliting fever and there begins a mutual attraction.Quinn is under the impression that Amanda is Durning's latest lover. [grin - Boy is he wrong!]Quinn in turn rescues Amanda from probably freezing to death from a winter storm and she pitches in and helps with the calves that need mothering. There is lots more and I leave it up to you to find out how Quinn reconciles his emotional fears and finally lets love into his life. How He almost loses Amanda when he finds out she is a rock star. Elliot and his keyboard sure help a lot.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - shouldn't be missed -- #4 in the Long, Tall Texan series.
