Realistic details make the book!

When I was getting toward the end of JR Reynold's historical novel, Sustenance of Courage, I'd awaken each morning with a stomachache. In my drowsiness, I thought I was in a wagon train headed for the Oregon Territory. It had been a long trip, and I was exhausted. How I dreaded another day! What a relief to fully wake up and realize I wasn't on a wagon train, and that it was just a book! This is the best historical novel about what it was like on the Oregon Trail that I have ever read.
