Fantastic!!

Bottom line: I loved this book.Quirky, and whimsical. I read it in about 2 days flat, but am glad to know I did not waste my money, as I had never heard of Rob before, and bought it because it is (a) about Japan, and anyone who knows me knows I LOVE all things Japanese, (b) is contemporary, and I had only been reading one genre for a while, so thought I'd switch up. (C).....he a Torontonian....gotta support our own.Enough blathering. Sushi Daze is about Jamie, and how jamie in true Happy Days style, has jumped the shark with his day to day radio job, and typical life that seems to be stuck. So the ad to go teach in Japan for the BIGSUN company is the shot in the arm he thinks he needs. HE's a little lost when he gets there, but through many sundry of other "odd" and "not-so-odd" teachers in the same company, he finds some semblance of a life there. Then his boss Cassandra shakes things up and he falls for her.Read this book for 3 reasons: 1. It will make you laugh out loud on the subway, I swear!2. Literal english translations in Japana are really great.3. This is finally a book about someone who goes looking for themsleves and actually finds himself! I am off to read the second book of Robs I picked up called "Working Class Zero"....enjoying it so far.
