Rarely do I ever review a book that I've read, but I had to review this one and give it 5 stars. It was an excellent read. It was funny and I could not put it down. Poor Torey needed to be loved so badly but the brother had to be fine or she was'nt having it! I know people just like her, that is why I could relate. Mr. Moon McAllister was so real that I fell in love with him myself. Anyway you will enjoy this book I'm sure. You will not be disappointed. I hope there is a sequel!
The "so not true" guy is so not true!

What did he base his review on? He didn't talk about anything but the fact that women wouldn't try to win a man by any means necessary. Surviving Mr. Right was so much more than that to me. It was a testiment to learning that wanting something so badly is not the way to go. I loved the book. I thought Tory was just like me in a lot of ways. She hated that she wanted a man so badly, but she couldn't help herself. In the end she learned that loving herself was more important than being loved by someone else. And her love affair with Moon McCalister was excellent and was the real spice of the book. So Not True didn't even mention Moon McCalister! I loved this book and i've recommended it to all my friends.

this book put me in a good mood. how could this book not make anyone smile. The book is about victory who is a 34 year old college professor that seems to have the worst luck when it comes to men. She belives that she is getting too old and she wants to settle down with mr. right. her best friend decides to move away to Flordia to help her husband with their funeral home business. victoria decided that she wants to move to Flordia also because it will give her a chance to have a new beginning. I'm suggesting that you all go out and pick up this book so that you can laugh at all of the weird and mysterious men that she comes across and also laugh at her inner thoughts. I promise that you will be saying "uh-uh" and "no he didn't" right along with her.:)
A school teacher sold on Mr. Right

I am a school teacher in California who appreciates good writing and plot development. Surviving Mr. Right contains both. The care with which the author takes with each character, building an exciting style in each and then creating scenes to demonstrate that style. I thought the main characters, Tory and Derrick "MOON" McCalister, were very on point. I can't wait to see the sequel. Surely it is worthy of one. It has my full endorsement.
Intelligent fiction at last!

Surviving Mr. Right is a captivating novel, filled with great plot twists and characters and the kind of heroine I could really relate to. Tory was looking for love in all the wrong places until Moon McCalister came along. I loved the Moon character. He was strong and decent. But I really loved Tory. She was a sister in need of a lot of help, but in the end she found her own voice and was able to see a good life even without a man in it. The ending was perfect! The dialogue was crisp! This is one book that everybody should read. It is intelligent, thought provoking, and extremely well written. Teresa McClain-Watson is the writer of the future. I had never heard of her before, but I hope she keeps them coming!
