Book Overview

Once the honeymoon days of acceptance and admittance to medical school are over, most medical students suddenly find themselves faced not only with the grueling course work of basic sciences that precede even more harrowing clinical studies, but also with questions of self-doubt, resocialization, alienation from friends and family, and career angst. Nothing is sugar-coated

This book is written as a collection of interviews and personal experience notes by the author. It covers every aspect of medical school, but it does so by topic rather by timeline. Nothing is hidden or omitted, and the book pushes the reader to pose the question, "Is this REALLY for me?" I found it extremely informative.
