Sunset in St. Tropez

This is one of Danielle Steel's better novels. It had a pleasant and happy ending and is great for summer or vacation reading. I was captivated by it and couldn't put it down until I was finished. It tells how 3 couples, who planned to vacation the following year in St. Tropez, France were met with tragedy when one of the couple's wives died. Robert soon began to date again and when it came time to go on vacation, he brought his new girlfriend, who was a budding actress. This did not go over well with the other wives and caused a lot of friction among the couples. In the end, all of the preconceived notions about the new girl friend were eliminated and it taught a lesson to those who made quick judgments about others.

From the perspective of a die-hard Danielle Steel fan....

I won't take up space and give you a summary of this book; my review has a different purpose. I just wanted to say: I LOVED THIS BOOK! I am a die-hard Danielle Steel fan and always will be, but I must admit that her last few books haven't been her best work. However, at long last, the author seems to have recaptured that "special something" that has been missing in her recent works. I could not put this book down. I devoured it in one sitting. I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Another blockbuster!

I have been reading Danielle Steel's books since her very first in 1979; I have all of them in hardcover. I received this book several days ago and I finished it in just a few days. I don't want to reveal the plot because I want you to read the book, but I found it to be easy reading, enjoyable and just as fun as the way she wrote in the beginning. It is a cannot-put-it-down book about three couples, all whom you would like immediately and wish you had them as friends. She has a wonderful way of getting you to like the people she writes about; always making most of them to be not only beautiful in body but in mind and soul. Ms. Steel must basically be a wonderful and heartwarming person herself. I always look forward to each and every book she writes. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

What I have been waiting for!!!!

Now this is the Danielle Steel that I love. Once I started I could not stop. I fell in love with all the characters especially Pascale and John. (Even though I believe that the mourning process was a little short for John, especially, when he loved his wife so dearly)Their relationship is so fun you always want to see what is going to happen next. I just hope that when my fiance and I get married we form friendships like these three couples. Way to go Steel!!!

Couldn't put it down!

Great book, couldn't put it down took less then 24 hours to read the whole book. Another GREAT job by DS.
