This is an excellent and representative selection of the RTE radio programme Sunday Miscellany broadcast early on Sunday mornings. Each piece is a perfect short story. The stories reflect Irish life past and present, they are filled with pathos and humour. It is a book that you can read through, or pick up and put down.
