Kept me guessing!

I loved this book. I loved that it gave me a history lession of Oak Bluffs and the lives of African Americans that most people do not know or think is possible. It is. The descriptions of the bluffs, the clothing and places and things was very good, you could feel the spray of the ocean, imagine the lovely cothes, most importantly, understand the special identities of the women. It showed human frailties, growth in people and how love and respect can make a difference. The Godmother of all of them is a wonderful, loving, flawed woman who had to navigate being black during some very trying times and still persevered. There was times that I thought I had everthing figured out, turned out I was wrong, and I am glad, that is what made it such a great book and very positive in many ways. I look forward to her next book. Thank you Sunny!
