Summary of 12 Rules For Life by Jordan B. Peterson WHY BUY THIS BOOK: Save time and money by reading this Straight-to-the-point summary Gain more in-depth knowledge ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK 12 Rules for Life by Jordan B. Peterson is billed as an "antidote to chaos", and that is what its primary focus is. It is an interesting book. Equal parts philosophy, psychology, and self-help book, it covers a broad range of topics, with Peterson drawing from life experiences, religion, and history to build a strong case for his points and provide what seems on its surface to be very good advice for people. Jordan B. Peterson is what might be called a cultural Christian. He won't tell you that the stories of the Bible are true, only that they are important to read and understand. He writes as he speaks, a style which might be called professorese. It's an unapologetically wordy, borderline stream-of-consciousness which at times trades clarity and brevity for trance-inducing rhythm. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Jordan Bernt Peterson (born June 12, 1962) is a Canadian clinical psychologist and a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. In 1998, he moved back to Canada, as a faculty member in the psychology department at the University of Toronto, where he is currently a full professor.
