This was my second book by this author. The first one didn't quite cut it for me, Dry Creek Sweetheart, so I stopped at about page, 100. If I didn't already have another one of her books, I may not have read another, but I did. This one was much better. I really connected with the characters and liked them. It was also a good story, though a little corny. I just may pick up another from the, Dry Creek Series.
highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! The warmth of this faith-based community came alive off the pages as they embraced the newcomer, ballet teacher Lizette, who has just a few weeks to stage a production of The Nutcracker. Judd's fierce protectiveness of the children left in his care, and Lizette's nurturing maternal instincts towards them was very admirable. It was heartwarming to accompany both adults on their journey to overcome their cold upbringings as they uncovered what it means to truly belong. I also appreciated how the spiritual message wasn't forced, but was allowed to wash over everyone in its own special way.
