This Book Should Be In Everyone's Personal Library

This book is definitely a keeper! There are many inspirational stories as well as inspirational references that can be referred to again and again. Anyone who reads this book will be glad they did, as it is full of information that is too good not to share!!

Encyclopedic knowledge of success stories

I first came in contact with Charles Marcus at a three day weekend self-improvement/motivation seminar extravaganza. I went to many workshops that weekend and of course, all the people had a book to sell. I was only moved to buy books from four of the speakers I heard, one of which was Success Is Not a Spectator Sport. Of the four books I bought and read, Marcus' was the only one that I still refer to on a regular basis some months after the convention. I feel that Marcus' strong point in both his book and his live appearance was his encyclopedic knowledge of success stories; he presents them in a way that make them stick in my mind and drive me to take the right path towards professional success.

Ask most professional speakers, and they would like nothing better than to publish a book in order to enhance their "credibility". In their haste to get published, many forget that there is more to writing a book than just throwing together a few quotes, some generic goal-setting techniques and a few words of encouragement. I should have known that author Charles Marcus would not fall into that trap. This is a well-written, well-organized book, with a great collection of personal stories that illustrate the author's own years of learning, applying and sharing timeless success principles. The principles aren't new, but the combination of personal stories, illustrations from other famous people's lives, exercises and quotes shed new light on basic truths. Most importantly, Marcus remembers the big picture. True success covers all aspects of life, not just business. Are you ready to get in the game? His inspirational personality shines through in this well-organized and useful book. If you need help getting motivated to make changes in your life, order this book.

Charles Marcus' life is truly an inspiration. Reading his "Success is not a Spectator Sport" helps to put your own life and its stumbling blocks into perspective. He shares some valuable lessons he learned in his own life. When reading his book, the reader is inspired to make some important changes in his own life and in the way he thinks...I know it has done a lot for me.
