Do not discount this book--it can be extremely helpful

Martin Schwartz works at the National Center for Stuttering in NY. Having taken one of his classes, I can say that his technique is very effective for most stutterers. This book is over twenty years old--I suggest reading "Stutter No More", which Schwartz published in 1991, and has a few new ideas and scientific data to back up his assertions.

Very informative and very practical

Unlike most of the skeptics who have reviewed this book I can tell you from my own experience that this book and Dr. Schwartz are the reasons that I am fluent today and have been ever since I have read this book and have taken Dr. Schwartz classes in 1975. I am getting tired of reading that there is no cure for stuttering when I have seen first hand how stuttering CAN be cured. Is this 100% probably not but nothing in this world is for that matter. This book is a MUST read for anybody that has a problem with stuttering
