Re-evaluating macroevolutionary theory

Overall, Johnson's book is an excellent contribution to discussion of the state of macroevolutionary theory. Based on the opinions of evolutionary biologists discussed, it appears there is a great amount of work needed on evolutionary mechanisms in light of the evidence we have for evolution today if macroevolutionary theory is to ever progress beyond the current range of doubt about the facts.
