I love the look of this book

This really isn't so much a how-to book so much as it is a beautiful photo display of talented bead-stringers' jewelry. The pieces are wonderful; the types of jewelry you are likely to find currently, but only in the nicest of stores that sell unique hand-made jewelry. I like how most of the beads and findings are identified, and each particular bead retailer and wholesaler is listed, so you have a chance of finding the beads used in the projects, if there is something unique you fall in love with. I can't tell you how many times I have been frustrated by other books or magazines that show a picture of a project, but they seem so secretive about thier designs, they won't even identify the type of stone used. Well, not in this book. I especially like the pages of simply-strung bracelet designs, just before the featured projects. It's the shapes of the beads, the color and textures and how they are just put together that make these bracelets stand out.

I can't wait for string Style 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10..........................

I love this book this is my second String style book and it does not seem to disappoint. For each project, it provides concise perfectly photographed projects. I have bought other books that do not provide the purchasing information for the projects; this book provides that information and more. If you have purchased jewelry books before and you are unsure, whether this would be a good book or not set, your worries aside and you will enjoy this book for years to come.

Stringing Style 2

New to beading and stringing I found this book an excellent reference and plenty of patterns that were easy to follow. I plan on ordering Stringing Style 1 and future issues.

Great Book for any bead designer

This book has elegant photographs, illustrations, and instructions walk beaders of all skill levels through the designs. you can simply follow the steps or adapt them into original creations of their own. A great book to have.

Ideas you can use for your own beads or design adaptations

The main value of this book are the instructions of various stringing techniques, some of which were new to me. The designs themselves are understated, which in a way is good. You will be inspired to alter them to make your own creations and not copy a work of art. One design, a multistrand bead with a center pendant, was really versatile. The center stone was a turquoise bead, a large one. But if you create your own lampwork beads or polymer clay beads or other type of bead, you could easily adapt this design to showcase your creation. That's what I like best about "Stringing Style"--there are great ideas that are like yeast in the bread--something to get the creative ideas bubbling. The designs are worth making to learn "Beading 101" but the book also has value for the more advanced beader who is looking for design ideas. While not packed with ooh and ahh pictures, this book will have you thinking about what kind of beaded necklace or earring you want to make next. There is also a front section of a wardrobe of earrings and bracelets--many variations on simple themes. This is bound to help the crafter get good ideas. Finally, quite a few of the designs looked like things you'd love to own--a fire bracelet--shades of yellow to fire-ruby clustered in a strand. Stunning. There were more. Lots of eye candy here.
