Pope Benedict XVI Encourages Reading "Story of a Soul" The Story of a Soul conveys St Therese of Liseux's "Little Way" of spiritual childhood - her "elevator" to Heaven, as she called it. This method was approved by Pope Pius XI as a way for all to grow in holiness through unfailing confidence and childlike delight in God's merciful love. Again and again in this book, St. Therese shows us how her "Little Way" of love and trust comes straight from Sacred Scripture. This book belongs in every Catholic home, for Pope St Pius X stated St. Therese of Liseux the "greatest Saint of modern times". This is the original TAN edition now with updated typesetting, fresh new cover, new size and quality binding, and the same trusted content.
This book will touch your heart and soul in a very beautiful way I am sure of it. This wonderful saints life and illustration can inspire us all on earth to fulfill the calling of love and allow us to enjoy every minute of the time we share here. May we all spend our heaven on earth and I hope you treasure this beautiful book

The best translation available

I have read several versions of this classic autobiography--one of the most important Catholic books of the last 200 years--and Robert Edmonson's translation is the best. It is fresh and lively, and communicates the spirit of Therese. In fact, I was delighted to have read this translation just before taking a pilgrimage to Lisieux this past spring. While touring Therese's family home, you can imagine her childish glee, as well as her childlike devotion to Christ, just as she communicates these things in The Story of a Soul. Buy and read this edition. It's the best!
An incredible book written by an incredible Saint!

The autobiography of Saint Therese is overflowing with the love and tremendous happiness she had in her soul. This little Saint who seemed so small and meek, was incredibly strong with her faith in God. From the very beginning, when she was a little girl, till the end of her young life, she wanted to travel over the world and bring more souls to God. This book has fulfilled her goal! Through her "little way", St. Therese has inspired and amazed people all over the Earth! She is a beautiful Saint and that beauty shines through in this book! I recommend it for everyone of all ages!
