Poor Souls...

This is a wonderful book to read during the month of November, which is the month dedicated to praying for the Poor Souls. There is a chapter a day for the month, with a story at the end of each chapter about actual souls in purgatory. Or it could be read any other month. It also teaches us much about Purgatory, so it's a good buy.

This book was literally a "God-send"

I had a series of 30 Masses called Gregorian Masses said for my grandfather a few years ago. After the Masses were completed I asked God for a confirmation that my grandfather was in Heaven. Since someone had just found the holy card from his funeral 40 years before in a prayer book left in a hospital waiting room,I asked God if this was my confirmation and when I arrived home that day in the mail was this book, "30 Days for the Holy Souls"! I could hardly put the book down. It is fascinating reading. It is very enlightening to read what types of actions we need to be cleansed of before we can spend eternity with the Almighty.
