Good Book

I have had this book a long time and have learned a few songs from it over the years. Transcriptions are pretty accurate for the most part, not that I can play like SRV anyway. I would buy this book again.

PLAY ALONG, OR JUST PLAY BETTER!!!

This is the greatest Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar-tablature book by all means......including 25 guitar song's spanning SRV's entire career with blistiring blues songs including Texas Flood, and Come On(Pt.3). This also includes live recordings like Im Leaving You(Commit A Crime), and Say What. This also features Pipeline from David Bowie's back to the beach album. This 2nd edition is better than the first they corrected many of their mistakes. This is the closest you will get to steive ray vaughan. I recomend this book to any guitarist seeking for only the best. Everyone can play along to this Lightnin' Blues spanning through 83-87. Enjoy!

2nd edition review

Good book (2nd edition), precise transcriptions. I already knew Mary Had a Little Lamb and a couple of licks off Couldnt Stand the Weather, and the book version is dead on. I actually corrected a few licks I didnt get right in the first place. I wish they would have included Lenny, Rude Mood and Little Wing.

Great Stevie Ray tab

If you want to play some of SRV's songs get this book. I have the second edition and I have found the transcriptions to be quite accurate. I have found SRV transcriptions from other books that were not accurate. For example, Pride and Joy from the Hal Leonard "Blues Guitar Bible" is not accurate. It sounds as if the "Bible" version was transcribed from a different version of the song. Oddly enough, both books are Hal Leonard books. Bottom line, make sure you get the second edition transcribed by Jesse Gress.
