This is a book about a little boy searching for identity. As he searches high and low for his baseball glove, (which is never mentioned in the story, incidently) in his mind he wonders about his real mother. He loves his adoptive mother and father and family, but still thoughts of his origin nag at him. The illustrations are engaging, and the text is good to facilitte discussion between children and adults about adoption.
