I loved this book

I loved this book. I just finished it for the upteenth time. Jason and Leah developed a friendship and love that every girl would want. Leah a sucessful on the plus size, accountant wanted to never trust men after the distruction her mother and sister went through. When here comes Jason,a hazel eyed architect with open arms and kindness. How can you resist? Leah tried to push him away but Jason stood planted. This was the first book by Mrs. Tyner and I cant wait until next.

Love & Trust

Step by Step was a moving story about love and trust. Leah was a successful accountant who seemed to have a hard childhood. Her parents were killed in an automobile accident, so she and her sister had to go and live with their aunt. Leah was the heavy in stature and her sister was slim and beautiful. Leah's sister dated a man that beat her frequently. Each time Leah would try to confront her sister about the beatings, she would only tell Leah she wouldn't understand. Leah felt if she stayed away from men, she didn't have to worry about her heart being broken. She mets Jason Duval. Jason is a hardworking architect. Jason is attracted to Leah and tries to be a gentlemen about it. He sees that she is not trying to get involved with him and he doesn't want to push it. But he just can't help himself. Leah is going through a tough time after her sister who has been in a coma for years after being beaten by her boyfriend takes a turn for the worst. Leah didn't want Jason's help, but she only finds comfort in his arms. This story talked about domestic violence. There are many women today that dealing with this issues. If not for themselves, they have a friend or relative that is. It was a good story in all.

Giving up your heart is not all that bad!!

I f you are giving it to someone like Jason Duvall!! Jason is a man that knows how to go after what he wants, and what he wants is Leah Preston. Leah, of course puts up a great fight but Jason's power of persuasion is in a class all by itself. Very enjoyable read. Nice job!

Romantic, realistic, and an easy read

This book told of a how a woman fell in love, beyond her control, with an architect she was working with. Jason helps Leah deal with the state of her sister and conquer the ghosts of her past(her distrust of men due to domestic violence she witnessed in her family and her low self esteem.) This book tastefully mentions an issue that needs to be discussed(domestic violence.) It gives hope to women who have seen or witnessed domestic violence that all men are not like that. There are some "gentlemen" out there. It also lets women who are not the standard size and height know that no matter your size you are loveable and there is someone to love you. I highly recommend this book.

Funny true to life page turner

I was delighted to read the escapades of Leah and Jason. It was nice to read a story that took its time to focus on the relationship between a Black man and woman. Although sometimes a small amount of sappiness can be spotted, the story remains realistic.
