Linn assembled a lot of information on the team from his sources. In the book some myths are dispelled, like Thurman Munson's request the Yankees go after Reggie Jackson and the exchange between George Steinbrenner and Rick Cerone during the 1980 ALCS (which was much more intense that what was reported). The non-stop bickering is all here in great detail as well. Also, Steinbrenner's micromanaging during the 1981 World Series (as well as his "brawl" with two Dodgers fans) are given a good deal of attention. I took off a star for an editing mistake where in one instance Ron Guidry is referred to as "Rod Guidry" and for one instance where Linn talks down to the reader in regards to Steinbrenner leaking stories to the media (The papers would quote "an anonymous source" in a piece). Other than those two things, this is a good book that is worth the read.
