wonderful novel

i read this book when i was about 17 and this book touch my life..i have been searching for this book since then to keep for myself...i just had the wrong name and now i found it and its out of print so im gonna keep on waiting for it to be available. I read it at a point in my life where i had gone through tough times and it touched my life...i cried...lol..great book..everyone should read this..especially young females...

Tragic Depiction of Life on the Streets

A naive teen runs away to NY to become a model. Sadly she is soon picked up by a pimp and sucked into the world of prostitution. Never exploitive, this book is a great cautionary tale of the dangers of the streets. I think that it should be re-earthed and read by a new generation. It has lost none of its power. Its very compelling and a great read for anyone.

I found the book to be very moving.

I read this book when I was 15 and found it to be very moving. I think every young woman between the ages of 12-18 should read the book. This book could possibly change the minds of any young woman considering running away from home. This book also enlightens young women about prostitution. It doesn't glamorize it. It gives some insight into the dangers of the business.

Good book!

This was a really good book. I really enjoyed reading it and I would read it again if I could. If your looking for a good book to read and your around 14-18 its a great book!
