This book covers all of the major topics needed in statistics. I am a psychology major and found this book to not only be easy to read, but put together in a logical manner. It has easy to read charts in the back for your problems and goes over all the things you will need to to these things by hand. If you have already done this, you know it can be rather lengthy and thank the SPSS gods for creating a program that eliminates us having to do it by hand. Covering everything from means, to t tests, to MANOVA's. It is a wonderfully written textbook with great examples. The only thing I can hope is that you have a very good instructor that makes this fun, otherwise else this could be one of the longest classes you every take. Best of luck and enjoy!
