This book explains all of the basics in depth and detail but in terms anyone can understand. It is a rare find for a statistics book. Several of us in my organization use this as our standard statistics resource. It is very helpful to communicate to our customers. I am ordering several copies to use in teaching a short course for a company in the apparel industry.
