good elementary text with business applications

Steve Book is an excellent writer. For several years he was my supervisor at the Aerospace Corporation. Steve had a knack for explaining difficult statistical concepts to engineers and to his students at Cal State Dominguez Hills. His first book was a popular one for an introductory statistics course for non statisticians. This book retains many of the virtues of the first book but specializes the examples and exercises to business related problems. This is an excellent text for a first undergraduate course for business or management science students even though it is 18 years old.
