Charming Fast Fun

It's easy to underestimate the high quality writing and skill that went into this delicious piece of cream puff writng. Small-ish town--not too big or small. Great first and secondary characters so when the huff-and-puffing is over there is still something else going on. Tiny bit of tension, but mostly just the smile-inducing good, sexy times between a cute boy and girl. While not for kids, the sensuality is fun and gave me a wistful sigh or two over the lack of such clever playfulness in real life. I do, howver, intend to run out and buy all of the authors' books. Smiling playtime to very hard to find in the harsh real world.

If you're looking for a fun read....

What a fun read! I found myself grinning as I burning through the pages. Lori Love is a wonderful heroine and Quinn is the hottest architect to grace the page. If you're looking for a fun, spicy summer read, I'd definitely recommend giving Start Me Up a try!

Even the cover is great

Start Me Up has everything you could hope for in a great romance - suspense, humor, and hot sex. "Laugh out loud funny" is used repeatedly in book reviews and is very rarely true for me. Most of the time, I am lucky to get a smirk. Preview the first few pages of the book. If you find it funny, then read on. Even though the relationship between Lori and Quinn is fabulous, I enjoyed the interaction between Lori and her best friend, Molly, even more. So much so that I went back and bought the first book, Talk Me Down. It is a great read too. Even though the author uses the stereotypical "damsel in distress" to strengthen a budding relationship, it works here because you care about the characters. Molly is funny and quirky, but she also has her share of disappointments and unrealized dreams. Quinn is a cross between an alpha male and an absent-minded professor. When the two get together, it is erotic and imaginative. There is no plain vanilla ice cream here.

Excellent - LOVE this author!

Lori has been running her father auto repair shop for a year and now she wants a change. She always wanted to travel the world and move away from Tumble Creek, Colorado but now she feels stuck. She decides to find someone for a summer affair and looks at her bestfriends brother. The romance steams up the pages - while a mystery unfolds of who killed her father.

Start Me Up by Victoria Dahl is a sexy treat that will delight every romance reader. Lori Love had thought her life would be so different then how it has turned out. When her dad became gravely ill she came home to Tumble Creek to help run his auto body shop. Upon his death its all hers and she has been happy to have it. But lately she finds herself restless and on edge. Something is missing in her life. Her best friend Molly decides Lori needs a no holds bar affair. Lori sets her sights on Quinn Jennings Molly's brother. Quinn Jennings always had a soft sport in his heart for his sister's friend Lori Love. When Lori suggests a no strings affair, he readily agrees. Quinn's architect work has always been first in his life and Lori knows him well enough to understand. Both Quinn and Lori both enter into this affair with their eyes wide open. When things start happening to Lori and the garage the dynamics between them change. Victoria Dahl had me hooked with her book Talk Me Down. She continues her witty characters and all out sexy romp in Start Me Up. This book is funny, sexy and everything that a romance reader will adore. I am thrilled I found this author. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in this series.
