This is the most wonderful book

you really have to read into the character and get to know her, but this book is my favoite, and ive read it 3 times, and its just as intersting as the first time i read it. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is an avid danielle steel reader.

It's a Keeper

I loved the story line. The book takes a girl, Crystal Wyatt,(around 12 years old)from the time she is being reared on a ranch in Northern California all the way through her life until she is about 28 years of age. Her life takes several turns that include victories and defeats, disappointments and rewards. It shows her strength that makes it possible for her to "bounce back" when others would be defeated. Crystal loves the land upon which she grew up. Her and her father made many memories during her childhood. He knew how much the land meant to her when it didn't mean that much to anyone else in the family. Crystal is rewarded for this in the end.I will agree with other critics that DS repeated herself often and I got the message that Crystal was beautiful about half way through the book. It became redundant to keep saying how beautiful she was. I felt like the author was afraid the reader would forget how attractive her main character was. But, I still recommend the book to everyone.

My first Steel book....I am hooked!

This is the first book I have read in over 6 years(at least). Now, I look forward to every opportunity to pick one up. Star was a great book, the only thing that I didn't care for was how much were were told about Crystal's beauty. It seemed that every chapter reminded us. Also, I think that it took way too long for Crystal and Spencer to get together. I'm a hard critic, but a new fan.

My First Steel Book and I Loved It!

This was my very first story i read by Danielle. I couldn't put it down. It was a wonderful sotry althought i didn't really care for handsome Spencer he was such a whimp. But the rest was outstanding. This story began my Steel reading and i just finished another one by her. But i really recomend this one. :o)

This Is An Awesome Book!!!!!

I watched to movie before i read the book, which helped me to picture the people and the scenes. Even though this book is not true it gives a since of comfort and relaxation, that sometimes things work out for the best. No matter who came between Spencer and Crystal something always brought them back together. this is a true example of the classic love story and i love it. i have read this book 6times in 2months so i would suggest it to anyone that enjoys getting pleasure out of a book. It also gives hope to people who are in love with someone older that one day age won't matter just the pure satisfaction of love. Good Job Danielle
