Star Wars Omen

The entire time reading this novel I knew the Sith would be returning back into the Galaxy. Daala trying to coral the Jedi but taking advice from an aid was eerily familiar and I thought great another hidden Sith trying to destroy the Jedi typical rehashing old story lines. Well I was...so far... wrong. The Sith do come back into the Galaxy in force and it was an interesting way to do so and creative. As far as the Aid of Daala I think strongly that he is not Sith now which opens up many possibilities for his future involvment with the series. Luke and Ben are handling the exile from the Jedi order well and it is interesting to see them tracing the path of Jacen to determine why he became Darth Caedus. An easy read that succesfully pull off the return of the Sith to the Galaxy. You can also see the ground work for the very popular Legacy Comic series set 100 years in the future. This is only book two and so far the series seems better than the previous one. Not as dark as the past two series this one is more like an adventure than a crisis which is fun to read.

Eyes Bloodshot- Couldn't put this one down...

Iv'e read almost half of all the Star Wars novels. Nothing beats the Darth Bane Trilogy (they are the best for stand-alone Star Wars storytelling, anyone can read them even if they don't know Star Wars), but this Fate of the Jedi series is coming close. Very enjoyable second read. If you love to learn about new Force powers and techniques, there are many thrills here. I was skeptical because I never heard of the author, but this book was very exciting. Make a playlist of your favorite Star Wars songs, intersperse some Last of the Mohicans and some Last Samurai and Lord of the Rings songs and other stuff from your favorite action or sci-fi movies and randomize the list and play it as you read... AMAZING! Can't wait to get to the next one in the series, this book leaves me on the edge of my seat wanting more.

Jedi Omen

This was an excellent continuation of the Fate of the Jedi saga. I am already ready to order ithe next installment. I especially like the authors attempt to explain what the dark tenticle creature was that had invaded Ben's mind when he was at Shelter.

very good

this book is a great build up for a series that hopefully is leading up to bigger and better things. We need cahracters like Jaina and Ben and other new characters to start taking away some of the spotlight from the trumphant three. Lets hope they could build on this plot and not dissapoint the fans

Excellent!

I really don't think the author was aware of some of the basic rules for writing a Star Wars book. First, she wrote about characters that don't interact with the main characters. This "support" or "proper back-grounding" is utterly alien to the Star Wars expanded universe. I mean, what's the fun if you know stuff about people before they suddenly appear to attack or save the day? Second, she wrote conversations between Luke and Ben that have nothing to do with saving the universe! Establishing familial ties between father and son is also something that Expanded Universe fans don't want to see! Third, she wrote simple, but still very expressively. If you miss they days of Zahn, writing about Bothan fur ripples, you're in for a surprise! It's almost like she hasn't read all of the star wars book and therefore probably doesn't worship them! Have you figured out that I'm being sarcastic yet? This is a GREAT book, true it was destined for paperback, but I really enjoyed the pacing and the thought that obviously went into it's construction. I almost wanted to take back every bad thing I have said about woman that write Star Wars books (Almost..., I'm still nursing that grudge against Barbara Hambly for 'Children of the Jedi') Thanks again Ms. Golden. It's nice to see the expanded universe ( & Sith) growing in this new exciting story! I'm actually looking forward to the next book in the series, as well as your future contributions.
