AHHH Pamela! You are too good!

This book is fiction, but you can tell that she uses real life experiences to add to the fun. This book was a quick read and kept me entertained. I would recommend to any fan.

Give us more, Pam!

Okay..never considered to be a big Pam fan, but I am a Tommy Fan (or should I say Jimi Fan?)and LOVED getting the dirt on their relationship. After reading Tommy's version and remembering when she had her miscarriage (and the blood thirsty media chasing her that day), this book was sad and moving....A great "beach" read...Reads easy and makes time pass quickly. Give us another, Pam...and to all those downing your books: Pam might not be George Orwell or Hemmingway, but if you are looking for that type of book, why did you buy this one in the first place?

Beware the trappings of beauty and fame...

I disagree that this book is poorly written and edited. Despite strong language, sex, and violence, this second in the Star Wood Leigh series is more than simply a gossipy Hollywood potboiler. The Hollywood scene is not the glorious life fans think it is. "All that glitters is not gold." and Anderson makes that point extremely well. When Star wakes up in a luxury Cabo hotel room wearing nothing but Gucci boots and a huge diamond ring, holding a Colt .45 in her hand, she knows serious trouble awaits. She can't remember anything about the days preceding that moment. Tied up in her bed is world class rock star Jimi Deed, who tells her they were married following a marathon drinking spree and love fest enhanced by the drug Ecstasy. Star is shocked. She has always avoided the drug scene and bad boys like Jimi. Despite her gorgeous face and stunning figure, Star is vulnerable, a smart, endearing woman with her own firm code and scruples. Her growing love for Jimi wrecks Star's world. The paparazzi hound them every waking moment. Their solution to this problem takes Star to a dark side of fame she can't escape, where not even family ties can be trusted. Star lives in a world twisted by fame's trappings. She is too beautiful, too successful, too rich, too vulnerable, too everything and loses her perspective. Critics who panned this book may have missed the author's message: money can't buy everything and beauty coupled with fame can destroy lives.

Star Struck

I loved this book! I think anyone who is a fan of Pam will love this book! I found it very funny and sad at moments the ending was a total surprise, if you love romance, action, and comedy books, then you will love this book! A must read!

More Than An Angel

In her private life, which isn't so private, and on the small screen, where she reigns supreme, Star Wood Leigh gets away with murder. Her behavior is unconventional, but her fans love her that way. She was lucky to be born into an era which takes for granted that our stars are going to have better sex than we do and do way more drugs. Gone are the days when a career would be ruined if the gossip about, say, June Allyson's sex life had left the confines of Sunset Boulevard. I suppose there were always stars who played up their dark side, and made it a topic of unspoken agreement between themselves and their audience. Robert Mitchum's pot bust back in 1948 didn't hurt his career because he could brazen it out so cheekily that we admire his gumption. Simultaneously, no one ever mistook Lana Turner for a nun. Pamela Anderson knows this territory better than anyone in America and she and her ghost writer Eric Shaw Quinn have combined the wilder sides of their own personalities and made Star just a little bit larger than life. Take a cue from Jackie Susann, they make sure that the "roman a clef" portions of STAR STRUCK are never too difficult to solve. People around America are wasting none of our valuable time wondering for long, "Gee, what show is LIFEGUARDS, INC"? If Pam wrote the book I'd be surprised, but when we saw her last year at the West Hollywood Book Fair promoting the first book, STAR, it seemed evident that she had at least read it. This one has even more twists and turns, and Star's wonderful brother plays a large part in the plot; he should have a book of his own, he's dreamy. Star and Jimi-the rock star boyfriend/husband with the oversized sex organ--get involved in a murder rap and a creepy stalker gets his ass handed to him-I thought that bit harsh. Outside of that, STAR STRUCK is a book for those who love Pam, those who love cuddly animals, and people who just like to read about beautiful people having better sex than I do. God bless her, I hope she writes a dozen of these.
