Stairstep Farm: Anna Rose's Story

This book along with the others in the Polish American Girls Series has been out of print for a while, so I was thrilled to see that they had been reissued in paperback. I read this book and the others to my children when they were young and I easily enjoyed them as much as they did. Though they are now lableled as "Polish American Girls Series" (they didn't used to be), I'm afraid this might exclude young male readers, who would easily enjoy them as much as the girls. Although the series can be read in random order, some may like to read them in chronological order. The books are fiction,but they are based on the author's own family history. The stories told in the books are sometimes hilarious, sometimes touching, always memorable.
