Book Overview

A fantastic book for anyone who has a devotion to the famous St. Gerard Majella, "Patron of Expectant Mothers." Though he died of tuberculosis at only 29 and was only a lay brother in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists), he achieved great sanctity - such that his superiors attested that he had not only not committed any mortal sins, but that they could not detect that he had ever been guilty of any sin at all Impr. 280 pgs,...

A BEAUTIFUL BOOK ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL SAINT

St. Gerard Majella had only one mission in life....to do God's Will, Whatever He willed for as long as He Willed. This biography, simply written, is a fascinating look at one of the holiest young men in history. Many tears were shed while I was reading this enthralling biography and made we want to get my hands on anything written about his life. Trying to emulate Gerard Majella would be impossible, but that's why he is a saint. The miracles that God worked through him are numberless. His faith was incredible! Most of all his obedience to God and trust in Him was just absolutely aweinspiring! Anyone familiar with St. Gerard Majella knows what kind of man he was. This book thoroughly reinforces this fact and I simply could not put it down. I read it through in one sitting. Truly inspiring, edifying and just a beautiful testimonial about a beautiful saint!!

St. Gerard Majella--Wonderworker

This was a beautifully written book that inspired in me a deep love for this holy man. I have read several other books on St. Gerard, and was not so captivated by him until I read this one. He was an incredible angel of a man, and I don't see how this book could fail to bring about devotion to him as well as give a very thorough account of his life and his "wonder-workings".
