I have been a life-long visitor to a unique natural area known as St. Anthony's Wilderness near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Passion for the outdoors and this particular place has inspired me to create a series of publications containing my historical research, anecdotal info, and, at times, my opinion. Volume 1 contains an introduction to St. Anthony's Wilderness. It's followed by a composition on peregrine falcons. The western end of St. Anthony's, or more specifically, the Dauphin Narrows, was one of their last breeding sites in eastern United States. An essay on the controversial actions of a young Pennsylvania German girl follows the falcons. Afterthought is a summary of the subjects, added material, and opinion. Anton's Wilderness, an article published in 1999, has been added to Volume 1. The article will help familiarize the reader with place names and a developmental timeline for St. Anthony's Wilderness.
