Removes Darkness

Sri Isopanisad was written thousands of years ago in the Sanskrit language of ancient India and is the most confidential of the 108 Upanishads. The eighteen jewel-like mantras of Sri Isopanisad can release us from the bleak, unsatisfying conceptions of impersonalism and bring us in touch with the primeval original Personality, who is the fountainhead of all energies. These mantras provide, along with Srila Prabhupadada's illuminating commentaries, key insights into the nature of the supreme intelligence that governs the universe. They teach us that all of our problem's "war, famine, poverty, etc." are the result of our failure to recognize the existence of a Supreme Person, who is the owner and controller of everything. And they show us how to harmonize our actions with the will of the Supreme so that we can easily overcome and eradicate all our difficulties and always live peacefully and joyfully.

Contains verses that should be remembered for liberation.

My favorite mantra is #18 where complete obeisance and surrender is stated. The other mantras are just as beautiful. For the reviewer who didn't know how to pronounce the title: It is pronounced as e-shope-ni(say i like e)-shud.

Vedic basics made easy.

This is a condensed comprehensive translation and elucidation of the 18 verses of the vedic Sri (shree) Ishopanishad. The Upanishads are texts of prayer and guidance for people in all the different walks of life. The Sri Ishopanishad is meant for those most developed and inquisitive about finding and developing devotion to God. Begining from a general statement describing the qualities of the supreme, through to a prayer of personal surrender, this collection of short prayer/meditations very meticulously leads one into the realm of devotion to God in exquisite detail. Although sometimes logical to the point of clinical, it is none the less, devotional personalism in its best form, written and translated by a most erudite and devoted practioner of its line.
