Looks at the life and career of this basketball star, who has repeatedly overcome personal and professional challenges and proven himself one of the sport's most popular players
Dominique Wilkins, Sports Great cover the career of one of the all time greats. The book begins with the game 7 showdown with Larry Bird and the 88 Celtics, which is kind of sad as this is probably his NBA team highlight. It then talks about his parents living in France, Moving to America and his high school basketball. From there he moves onto Georgia, which is discussed in limited detial. Then came his time as an Atlanta Hawk as one of the greatest players of the 80's and early 90's. The stupid trade by Atl for D 'no knees' Manning, just as Atl had moved to the top of the east. (No Bird, Isiah, MJ). the book then looks very breifly at Dominique's basketball journy form the Celts to Greece, to SA, to Italy, to Orlando. As the only book i have ever seen on Dominique, its a great read with information i had never heard before. It is a little short (64 pages) but as the only Dominique book it gets 5 stars.
