I Enjoyed This

I enjoyed this book and will read the next two in the series. I actually knew next to nothing about the Irish Travellers, (Pavees) which actually enticed me to read more about them. Now I really want to read their history, which I will be looking into in the future. Regarding Splintered Silence, I noticed that a lot of reviewers did not like the characters, but I found them to be true in the sense of they are all flawed. Aren't we all? There were definitely some I liked and most definitely some I didn't like. I think my favorite character was the dog Wilco. I think perhaps the most unsettling thing about this story to me is the blatant all out prejudices from both sides in this story - the Travellers and the Settled. Neither has really bothered to learn much about the other, and I would say the habits and practices of both sides leaves a lot to be desired. Which brings me back to my original statement - all the characters have their flaws the same as all people in society today are flawed. Welcome to the real world. I look forward to reading the next in the series.
