The book is a beautiful display of art objects, craftsmanship, history of various dynasties that evoke visions of the greatness of this cullture. It is amazing the many contributions that the Chinese cultural had given the world in the form of art in so many different venues. I am constantly impressed and in awe of the workmanship, talent and accomplishments displayed in this book. The colors are vivid in the presentation, the explanations of each piece are detailed and leaves you wanting to know more or go see a similiar exhibit.
Excellent, but limited in scope.

A wonderful book, but seemed oriented (ha-ha)toward painting and ceramics. I would have liked to see more examples of jade and ivory carvings, as well as textiles.
