Spiritual Unfoldment 2: The Ministry of Angels...

The fisrt thing about this book that catches our eyes is the breath taking photo on the cover. The seascape invites us to stand on the cliffs and contemplate the endless possibilities on the horizon. In the ear of the heart we can see and hear the songs of those who dwell so close to us and of the Earth herself. This edition (2001) has retained all of the original words of White Eagle and Ivan Cooke. To quote from the publisher's forward,"In new editions such as this we seek to alter any archaisms to modern usage, to render pronouns non-gender specific, and so on." (pg v111) The publishers are to congratulated on their gentle and successful efforts. Those who are familiar with the original edition (1969) will sense no disruption in the flow of the current one. There is an extensive subject index, footnotes, and reference to Bibilical quotes are given in the preface.Although this book deals with parallel realities and those who dwell in them, it is by no means a piece of fairy tale fluff. Again and again we're gently exhorted to become aware of the Light and all that in enlivens. White Eagle starts with the world of angels and takes us on a journey through the kingdoms of angels, fairies, elementals, etc. until we reach humanity. The chapter titled "Fairy Tales" looks at how we relate no only to our outer world but also to our inner world. A universal theme througout fairy tales is the journey (initiation) the seeker must take to find and to awaken the sleeping princess or to attin the Holy Grail. In these stories there are awlays Nature Spirits and guides who are eager and ready to aid the worthy traveler. The readers are asked to pause and consider the parallels between these seemingly simple stories and their lives.White Eagle's words are as relevent today as they were in 1969, if not more so. Remember the song from Woodstock, "We are star stuff, we are golden. And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden." If we make the decision not to walk the path of Light and true stewardship, if we are without love and care for ourselves and all who dwell around us and our Mother Earth, what kind of garden will be left for the next seven generations? Indeed, will there be any kind of garden at all?

Beyond The Five Senses

This is a lovely book full of nuggets of wisdom, however I wouldn't recommend it to the beginner on the spiritual path. It deals with angels, most of us can deal with that, but it also deals with fairies & gnomes. I can't say that I've ever been aware of them, but I would not flatly say that they don't exist. I've experienced stranger, but wonderful things. If fairy tales are too far out for you--well forget it, but if you have an open mind, it's a great book full of wisdom. The style reminds me of The Book Of The True Life (The Third Testament) which is Jesus oriented, but believes in reincarnation. It is the first book of White Eagles that I have bought & when I get done writing this I'm buying 2 more.
