A Hidden Treasure

Speaking as one who learned about "A Course In Miracles," before it was in print, I am amazed to find this book. Having spent several years studying the original "ACIM" I am fully aware that it's study is no easy task. The subtitle of this book speaks to the difference. "Messages to A Student Of A Course In Miracles" is just that, one hundred and sixty five pages of loving counsel on the art of living a simple, spiritual, life in constant communication with our heavenly father. If you've ever thrown up your hands and said, "I wish I could just ask God and get a straight answer.", consider this book. Like ACIM it uses some formal and archaic language, but not to the extent that you keep asking, "What did I just read?" I found that I could not read through this book from cover to cover because of the debth and power of the messages. In my daily short readings I am amazed to find answers to my own daily dilemmas. I did not find it surprising that God boldly recommends that we look at the results of our old ways of thinking. This will threaten many who believe that the rigid, narrow version of Christianity that most of us grew up with is the only path to heaven. In fact many will say this is the work of the devil and refuse to come close to it, let alone read it with an open and inquiring mind. Having had an abiding interest in "the word of God" for more than sixty years, I find this book pregnant with hope, compassion, wisdom and practical advice on living a life in direct daily guidance from our Source, without the burden of church dogma and exclusive tradition. Since my first serious inquiries into the nature of God at the age of twelve I have believed it only reasonable that a loving God who could create this world would probably love all His/Her creation and exclude nothing and no one from that love. This book leads me to continue to believe in that version of God and to be in an ongoing dialogue with Beloved.
