Kirsten's family have committed her without her compliance into a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation centre deprived of drugs or alcohol to lessen the distress. The hospital is teeming with nutcases and to make matters worse, the officious Dr Brosnan rules it with an Irish accent and an iron fist. She is forced to become roomies with a paperback-consuming Goth and attend therapy with a group of loonies, not to mention Sister Yolanda and her walkabouts. The therapy group meets daily in a dismal room in the bowels of the hospital. It is here that everyone's secrets are revealed. Conflicts develop between Kirsten and the other patients as her story starts to unravel.
