Obscure Gem, Highly Recomended.

Spiders and Spinsters is an amazing volume containing hundreds of roughly stitched together bits and pieces of mythology concerning the female gender, the stories women recount among themselves, the rituals they perform, and their evaluation of their own symbolic expressions. The subject matter comprises lunar symbolism, fertility, matriarchies, ancient menustral cycle myths and much more. At how cheap this book is going, it's certainly worth it. Weigle has assembled a very valuable treasure trove of mythology, anthropology, art, literature, history, and psychology. This book is essential for anybody interested in mythology, fertility, and of course, women's studies. There are so many imaginative gems of all kinds in this book I take it with me whenever I write.
