nice science

Although I ordered this book, to assist my teen aged daughter with her study of science; the book seems to be a good one. Of course, in regards to education some books can be beneficial overall.

Fantastic review book

The Spectrum series as a whole is very good, but I liked the Science book in particular...the format of the book is great, with a one page outline of a Science topic of interest, followed by a set of questions to help reinforce the concepts covered. The concepts are lucidly explained, with the right level of detail; my son has been reading these with great interest. It surely will provide kids an edge as they prepare for 4th grade.

Covers extensive amount of subject matter

The Spectrum science grade 4 is an excellent workbook which we are using as a supplement to our science program. It covers more material than I expected it to. The chapter titles are: Science as Inquiry, Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, Science and Technology, Science in Personal and Social Perspectives, History and nature of Science. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is not very colorful. There are some color pictures that aren't very interesting and the type is two-tone. However, I do understand the cost involved in colored texts, so for the price, the workbook is done well enough. The scope of information the workbooks cover is very complete and thorough. I am pleased enough with Spectrum science that I may use it next year as our science spine, adding in living books along the way.
