Enclosed are two spec scripts I wrote for the now cancelled TV series, SLEEPY HOLLOW (FOX) and BREAKOUT KINGS (AMC). If you are familiar with the shows format, then no introduction is needed. Just read the script and you'll see how each fits into the story, characters, arcs, etc. If you are not familiar with the series each script will simply be a good and interesting read, and hopefully will conjure images similar to the overall plot of the series. Most of the information about the the series you can find on the internet. SLEEPY HOLLOW is a bit tricky because search results often bring up the older movie of the Headless Horseman which starred Johnny Depp. That is not what my spec scripts are about. To quote Wikipedia: A spec script, also known as a speculative screenplay, is a non-commissioned and unsolicited screenplay. It is usually written by a screenwriter who hopes to have the script optioned and eventually purchased by a producer, production company, or studio. Often, in the TV world, a spec script is used by a writer as proof that you can absorb, conform to, and duplicate a show's writing or storytelling style. This is necessary if you, as a writer, hope to work in a writer's room someday.
