Fantastic!

Spark your Dream - is probably one of the most important books you will ever read. It is a book about, dreams, love, courage, faith, friendship and hope. Buy it, read it, love it, share it and you will want to realize your own dreams and encourage others to do the same. I have enjoyed this book so much,I read it aloud for my children, I bought it for all my friends and family. Even long after you put it down, it lives on in your heart and you keep referring to it and talking about it. It is a fabulous book. We can learn a lot from Cande and Herman's way of looking at life and always meeting the world with an open heart and faith -they trust in the good in people and people around the world respond with compassion and love, eager to help them, no matter the walk of life be it the poorest peon in Peru or the richest businessman in USA. An important message that makes this world a better world. In our family we want to nominate the Zapps to the Nobel's Peace Price. Thank you for sharing this book with the world! Anne and Hugh

I would give more stars if available! Awesome Book!

My husband and I met Herman and Cande Zapp at the NYS Fair last week. They are an amazing, totally down to earth couple. I bought their book and can't put it down. It's inspiring. It's funny, sad, sweet, so many adjectives and so little space to write it in. I want to keep reading to find out how the journey progresses, but I don't want the book to end! They are on their way to Canada and from Canada will head to California to catch the ship that will take them to Asia. I can't begin to express how exciting this book is. To meet the people who made the journey and wrote it - truly inspires. It makes you think. If the Zapps can do what they did - are still doing - while having babies, etc. Then anyone, anywhere has the power within themselves to make their own dreams come true. A definite MUST READ!

Their Enthusiasm Will Stay with You Long after the Book's End

Intrepid Herman and Cande have accomplished their dream: driving from Argentina to the Arctic Ocean in their quirky but well-loved 1928 Page-Graham automobile. The kindness and generosity of people they meet on the road are almost the norm, but there are surprises that you'll have to read about yourself. The journey is long and infused with both anxiety and joy, yet these two travellers grow up and grow into fulfilling their dream. With them, we learn so much more than just "the rules of the road." After 43,000+ miles and nearly four years, the Zapps learn to trust themselves while keeping their hearts open to the ever-changing landscape and the people they find. And, just like the Zapps, I didn't want the journey to end. Their travels to Asia should make another inspiring read!

Truly inspirational - and hilarious!

Well, I, too, met the Zapps - on Highway 101 North in Marin County, California. I literally ran them off the road, because my husband is from Buenos Aires and I wanted to find out who these crazy Argentines were driving 35 MPH in an ancient car on a super-fast highway. They were amazing: friendly, funny, excited, and so relaxed, considering what they were accomplishing. Since then, my husband has visited them at their home in Argentina, and we have kept in touch with them as they ready themselves for their Asia tour (they are currently in Washington, and Candi is pregnant - again! - on the road). This book goes into harrowing - and, oftentimes, hilarious - detail of their first trip. Its voice is true to the Zapps' personality and outlook on life. I never read the original Spanish-language version, so I cannot compare it to this one. All I can say is, my husband read it in Spanish and I read in English, and we enjoyed it equally. It carries you away to your own dreams.

Cande & Herman can spark anybodys dream

This book is great, My husband meet The Zapps while in Florida and I did not have the chance to meet them , but after reading this book I feel that they are close friends in my heart always, Just as much as friends that I have known for years. One day I hope to meet the Zapps and talk to them more about thier adventures in the book, adn others that I'm sure they have many. It would be very difficult to cover ever detail of four years in 410 pages, But they did!! And the fact that they included the names of so many "ANGELS" that helped them along the way was amazing. This is a must read for any one who has a dream or has ever dreamed of some day accomplishing it.This is a great book and a side note just for the Zapp's "Thank you very much you are a true inspiration to my family and I! You are the true Angels of our Mother Earth. God bless you and your family and let your spirts continue to soar like the eagles of the sky"
